Automobiles - Opel has announced the introduction of the Grand Land X with the hybrid4 PHEV with greater mobility and total propulsion system. The hybrid system is shared with the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 and the 508 Hybrid4, and the new hybrid power gives the ultimate in the four-wheel drive that it needs. The engine combines a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors, one on each axis and a 13.2 kWh lithium-ion battery to produce 296 hp.
The gasoline engine produces only 197 hp, while both engines produce 80 kW or 10 hp each. The front electric motor is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the second electric motor is integrated with the differential system in the electric rear axle, which provides total thrust on demand.
Opel says the car can cover up to 50km in electric mode, depending on the WLTP cycle. In total, the model provides four driving modes: electric, hybrid, four-wheel drive (AWD) and sports. It also features a regenerative brake system to restore power produced during braking or deceleration. Opel says this increases the electric vehicle's overall mobility by as much as 10 percent on average.
It is expected that the average consumption of the car is 2.2 liters per 100 km and achieve 49 g / km of carbon dioxide. The launch of the car will begin in Europe in the coming weeks, with the first customers expected to arrive in early 2020. Opel Grandland X Hybrids 4 will increase electrical and hibernate products on the company's full-year list in 2024.
